Ceramic and Quartz Heaters

With their wavelength spectrum of 2.5 10 μm, ceramic infrared emitters can be used in many ways. The range of applications ranges from heat emitters over the changing table or infrared heat cabins in the wellness area to thermal bridges in canteens or heat suns at the workplace to thermoforming machines for plastic packaging or drum furnaces for Schüttguttrocknung.

Ceramic infrared heaters are available as full or hollow ceramic spotlights with and without thermocouples. The hollow ceramic spotlights are particularly characterized by their shorter heating and cooling times and give more power to the front in the same operating conditions. With the help of a reflector, it is also possible to achieve a forward-oriented radiation percentage of over 95% for full-ceramic spotlights.

Quartz infrared emitters have an emission spectrum comparable to ceramic infrared emitters in medium-and long-wave infrared. The difference is made by the short-wave radiation ratios between 1 and 3 μm, which only have the quartz infrared emitters. In spite of many overlaps, the application areas of both spotlights are therefore different. Due to their short response times, quartz infrared emitters are particularly recommended for cyclical or frequently interrupted work processes.

They are available as IR cassettes or individual IR rods. The Quartz IR cassettes are compatible with the ceramic infrared heaters.
